Dimitry Epstein Dimitry was born in Minsk, Belarus. He started painting when he was a young boy. He used every single chance to paint and draw on paper or sidewalks using anything that was handy - a piece of chalk, a pencil or a brush. Dimitry graduated from the Minsk Art School with a major in decorative art. He has been working in "Belarusfilm", major cinematography studio in Minsk as an animated movies artistic director for over 8 years. Dimitry directed numerous animated movies which claimed a great success. One of them "Fly" was awarded a grand-prize at the international animated movies festival in Poland. Dimitry's works gained a great success and he was invited to work in the most popular TV animated shows. He also has been involved in directing TV commercials. In 1993 Dimitry immigrated to the United States of America. He settled down in New York City. He was infatuated with computerized animation and design which he has studied at Pratt Institute. Since 1997 Dimitry has been working for Funnybone company in Canton Connecticut designing computer games for children. Dmitry has had five personal exhibitions with his works displayed in Soho, New York and Connecticut galleries,. He has been publishing his caricatures and cartoons in a New York "Russian Word" paper. Dmitry Epstein has been a free lance artist with the Noble Works New Jersey publishing company designing and releasing his works as well as cards and posters.
